Fantastische ervaring: We deden de 5-daagse Dutch Lowlands tour met de recreatieve fietsen en bagagetransfers. De communicatie met het personeel was uitstekend en de geleverde informatie stelde ons in staat om ons voor te bereiden met alles wat we nodig hadden voor een succesvolle tour. De fietsen waren geweldig - modern, comfortabel en goed onderhouden. De fietsdistance was perfect voor ons (40-50 km/dag) - niet te veel en niet te weinig voor een schilderachtige tour. De route was een mix van speciale en gedeelde (met auto's) fietspaden, sommige landelijk en sommige urbaan, maar met prachtige uitzichten overal. We konden veel van de aanbevolen stops bezoeken en het waren allemaal geweldige suggesties (restaurants, bezienswaardigheden, enz.). Ik zou Holland Bike Tours ten zeerste aanbevelen, en ik kijk uit naar een andere tour in de toekomst!

Positieve ervaring: Alles was over het algemeen goed, en de ervaring in het algemeen is iets dat ik zeker zou aanbevelen. Het personeel was vriendelijk en responsief. Maar ik ben niet helemaal zeker waarom de prijzen zoveel hoger zijn dan die van de concurrenten. Dit is de enige reden voor mijn sterbeoordeling; anders zou ik zeggen dat het een 5-sterrenreis is. [Update: Holland Bike Tours heeft contact opgenomen en opgemerkt dat hun fietsen van de hoogste kwaliteit zijn, hun hotels centraler zijn in ongeveer de helft van de stops, en hun service meer gepersonaliseerd is met meer begeleiding van gasten, wat resulteert in meer personeelstijd per tour, dus als deze dingen voor jou van hoge waarde zijn, kan deze prijs het voor jou waard zijn.] Details: We hebben een basisprijs van 3220 EUR betaald (exclusief bagagetransfer en kamerupgrades). Ter vergelijking: een concurrent die we bekeken vraagt 2136 EUR voor exact dezelfde route (en dat omvat bagagetransfer!). De kamers waren ongeveer 200 EUR per nacht op booking.com en sommige van dezelfde hotels die andere bedrijven gebruiken (ik weet het omdat ik de bagage van hun klanten zag wachten op de koerier). Dat komt dus maximaal neer op 1400 EUR aan kamer kosten. Dat betekent dat Holland Bike Tours 1820 EUR overhad om de fietsen/GPS en personeelstijd te dekken. Ofwel hebben ze een hele hoge winst marge of de operatie is inefficiënt.

Fantastische ervaring: Ik heb zeven uitstekende dagen doorgebracht met Holland Bike Tours. De accommodaties waren geweldig, hun communicatie was uitstekend, het landschap prachtig en de uitrusting uitstekend. Ik raad aan om deze onderneming zeer aan.

Fantastische ervaring: Dit was een fantastische manier om Nederland te verkennen! Geweldige tour - de route was uitstekend (ongelooflijk dat je bijna 200 mijl over fietspaden kunt fietsen!), de fietsen waren geweldig (neem een e-bike, handig om niet moe te worden, om eerder aan te komen zodat je meer tijd hebt om de steden te verkennen, en gemakkelijker om sneller naar je volgende stop te gaan als het regent!), de hotelaccommodaties waren geweldig (we kozen voor de comfortklasse hotels in plaats van premium), de route en suggesties voor bezienswaardigheden en dineren waren ook bijna 100% geweldig. We kozen Holland Bike Tours vanwege hun routebeschrijvingen en het feit dat je je eigen startdatum kunt kiezen. Ook, omdat je op jezelf bent, kun je je dag dienovereenkomstig plannen. Geen behoefte om op een bepaalde tijd te ontbijten of te dineren, en geen behoefte om socialiseren met anderen. De communicatie om de tour op te zetten (data, het bekijken en kiezen van hotels, enz.) was perfect. Kon het niet hoger aanbevelen. Boek vandaag nog!

Fantastische ervaring: Mijn man en ik reisden in juni 2024 met Holland Bike Tours voor zijn 40ste verjaardag. We konden hen geen hogere aanbeveling geven. Emiel en zijn team waren absolute professionals, geweldig en gemakkelijk in de communicatie en voerden een ongelooflijke reis uit. We fietsten van Haarlem > Gouda > Willemstad > Middelburg > Brugge > Gent (daarna voegden ze zelfs op het laatste moment een extra stuk toe zodat mijn man door kon naar Roubaix en de iconische beklimmingen van de Ronde van Vlaanderen kon rijden en een ronde kon maken op de wereldberoemde Paris Roubaix Velodrome). Het team deed een ongelooflijke job door met ons samen te werken om echt onze afstanden en routes aan te passen (we wilden langer fietsen dan de gepubliceerde routes) en de tour omvatte geweldige stops onderweg met uitstekende aanbevelingen voor eetgelegenheden en dingen om te doen / zien, waarvan we het meeste gedaan hebben en alles was echt uitstekend. Pro-tip - koop absoluut de hotelupgrade. Elk hotel was UITSTEKEND. De fietsinfrastructuur was ongeëvenaard en we kwamen elke dag moeiteloos van punt naar punt zonder enige problemen. Onze bagage werd altijd op tijd afgeleverd. Onze fietsen (beide carbon Giant TCR's) waren ook geweldig voor onze lange afstanden (300 mijl in totaal voor de originele reis + een extra 55 naar Roubaix). De rondleidingsgids die ze voor onze wandeltocht door Brugge voor ons hadden geregeld was ook absoluut geweldig (dank aan Pascal) en bracht echt de geschiedenis van de stad tot leven. Ze waren ook UITERSTEKEND flexibel met ons, wat geweldig was. We hadden een beetje een rommelige situatie door de treinroutes en vertragingen met de fiets terug vanuit Roubaix (we kozen ervoor om de fiets van mijn man zelf terug te brengen naar Haarlem), waardoor we pas na 22.00 uur terugkeerden en Emiel hield voortdurend contact met ons via WhatsApp, was een geweldige bron, liet ons hotel weten dat we laat zouden zijn, vond een plek om te eten (een heerlijke!) maaltijd ondanks het uur en ontmoette ons bij het hotel om de fiets om te ruilen. We konden dit bedrijf of onze ervaring gewoon geen hogere aanbeveling geven. Als je het niet zeker weet - ga er absoluut voor! De reis van je leven (en we kunnen niet wachten om weer te komen!)

Fantastische ervaring: Als je in april in Nederland fietst, kom dan voorbereid met waterdichte kleding (inclusief hoezen voor je schoenen). Het weer kan snel omslaan en het kan erg regenachtig en winderig worden - we kregen zelfs op een dag hagel! Geweldige, memorabele vakantie met ook veel zon en warmte. Nederland voelde heel veilig aan om te fietsen op de uitgebreide fietspaden en op de straten. We werden goed verzorgd door Holland Bike Tours. Onze gps viel uit en de manager bracht die avond een nieuw apparaat naar ons hotel. Zeker aanbevolen.

Fantastische ervaring: We reisden vanuit Brazilië om de tulpenroute te maken met Holland Bike tours en we HIELDEN ervan! Erg goede fietsen (comfortabele zittingen) en geweldige ondersteuning van het team, ik wil terugkomen om andere langere routes te maken. Ik raad het aan!

Fantastische ervaring: Dit was onze tweede reis met Holland Bike Tours. Deze keer hebben we alle tulpenvelden verkend. Het was een geweldige reis! Ik denk niet dat er een tulpenveld was dat we niet zijn gepasseerd. De natuur was geweldig om elke hoek. Iedereen hield van zijn fietsen. De hotels waren super comfortabel. Het weer was typisch Nederlands met regen, zon, wind en hagel. En het verandert elke uur. We waren klaar met regenkleding en warme lagen. We hopen snel weer terug te zijn.

Fantastische ervaring: Uitstekend - Zeer aan te raden. Vriendelijke en behulpzame service gedurende het hele planningsproces en bij het ophalen van de fietsen. Niets is te veel moeite. Deze jongens zijn deskundig en plannen echt goede routes en hotels met veel advies. Fietsen in geweldige staat en gps-navigatie betekent dat je niet kunt verdwalen, zelfs niet als je van koers afwijkt, omdat het je opnieuw op de goede weg brengt. Al met al een geweldige ervaring, alles wordt verzorgd zodat je je kunt concentreren op het genieten van je reis.

Fantastische ervaring: We hebben onlangs een aangepaste rondreis van Amsterdam naar Brugge gemaakt. Het was fantastisch en alle hotels waar we verbleven waren heerlijk en het personeel was gastvrij. Een persoonlijke dank aan Emiel en zijn team voor de uitstekende regelingen en de ter beschikking gestelde fietsen. We kunnen niet wachten op onze volgende tour.

Fantastische ervaring: We did the Holland and Bruges bike tour in late September and loved it! Everything was perfect from pre-trip planning and communication with Holland Bike Tours to the new, belt-driven bikes. Every day was a fun, new adventure, following the GPS through dunes, tree-lined paths, woods, medieval cities, bridges, dikes, and even ferries. There were a couple of towns where we would have liked to stay longer, but you can always customize your trip to account for this if you like. We recommend wearing bike shorts and bringing rain gear for comfort. We enjoyed the flexibility of following our own timeline, but still having the assurance that everything was already arranged, from our excellent accommodations, including big breakfasts and kind hosts, to the mapped-out route. 100% recommend this company!

Fantastische ervaring: If you are thinking about a cycling holiday in The Netherlands, Holland Bike Tours is all you need. From initial contact through to the end of our trip, Emil & team were excellent. Great communications and customer service from start to finish. The equipment was all top-notch. The hotels were all good to excellent. Everything was seamless. Navigation can sometimes be a little challenging but with some experience and patience it was not a problem. Highly recommended.

Fantastische ervaring: We did the With Children tour and carried our own baggage. Cycling I’m the Netherlands with children is excellent - the infrastructure is great. Holland Bike Tours were great - we needed to switch bikes at the start and they were very accommodating. The routes were clear, the bikes were great and the hotels were really nice - our favorite was Hotel aan zee in Nordwijk.

Fantastische ervaring: Incredible tour! We felt so welcomed right from the start and the employees were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They checked in with us during our tour to see how we were doing and even helped us make arrangements for bike transport on a day we couldn’t bike. The paths were wonderful and well thought out. This is such a nice way to explore a beautiful country.

Fantastische ervaring: What a wonderful way to see a wonderful country. Biking is a dream in the Netherlands, and the Old Towns and Villages tour took us through some great highlights of the country. The GPS was easy to use to navigate the routes and the bikes were new (or newish).

Fantastische ervaring: We recently had a most enjoyable three-day bike trip through Holland Bike Tours. Our custom itinerary included the best of Holland: the dunes and seashore, quaint towns in the countryside, overnights in two excellent 3-star hotels, riding through the windmills and canals of Kinderdijk, several ferries, experiencing Rotterdam and more! The equipment we rented was up-to-date and reliable, and Emiel and staff were readily available when we needed advice for an unexpected problem. We found the staff knowledgable and easy to work with. Having a GPS device on board was essential because of the compex network of bike trails in this part of the world. It took us a while to get the hang of following the routes the company had built in to the GPS, especially when in town, because of myriads of distracting and wonderful sights to look out at. We can confirm that the drivers in Holland are most considerate and will grant you a lot of leeway! The eight of us were VERY pleased with our biking experience, and we would highly recommend this excellent company.

Fantastische ervaring: We set up an awesome tour online. Did the 5 day challenging coastal route. They were super responsive with all our questions leading ip to the tour. Upgraded both bikes and hotel rooms and we were super happy. Got nice lightweight roadbikes to make the pedaling easy. Holland has few hills but they do have wind. Of course they do. All the rooms were nice and lovely. Gps routing worked perfectly. Had to skip a day because of excessive winds and they transported the bikes for us. We opted to get to the next location by bus and taxi so that we could still explore along the way. Would definitely go with them again.

Fantastische ervaring: My wife and I took the Holland and Bruges tour for a week in June. We enjoyed the freedom and flexibility of not being part of a group, and being able to ride and explore at our own pace. We were also able to modify our trip at both the beginning and end by adding on a couple of extra days. The routes were well planned out, with a variety of scenery to ride through, and a minimal amount of riding along busy streets. The cycling lanes were well maintained and safe, as cycling is so commonplace throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. The towns we stopped in were historically interesting and picturesque, and the lodgings were comfortable and conveniently located near the town centers (we upgraded from the standard to comfort hotels). The buffet breakfasts served in the hotels (included in the tour package) were fantastic compared with what one typically gets in American hotels, with a variety of healthy options to fortify us at start our day cycling. Private tour in Bruges with local guide was fun and informative. Holland Bike Tours provided excellent organizational support before we began the tour. Emiel met with us the evening before our tour to carefully go over all the necessary details and was very helpful The recreational bikes were high quality and easy to ride; we had no mechanical issues . The GPS device worked well most of the time, although it did lead us to one obvious wrong turn the first day, The rides were not difficult and about the right distance for us. Our main problem was battling strong headwinds most of the week, as we did the tour in reverse, starting in Bruges and ending in Haarlem. I would recommend bringing extra food for lunches and extra water each day, as there are not a lot of places to stop on the routes. Overall a fantastic experience , highly recommended!

Fantastische ervaring: Our week long bike trip with HBT went beyond all of our expectations. It was a perfect trip from the start with an easy and informative pick up to the easy bike pick up at the end. All of our hotels were so exquisite, charming and each different from the others. The information packet with maps gave us so many interesting places to stop at. We loved all of the food recommendations. The bikes are well maintained. We rode over many bumpy streets with no problems at all. It’s nice to know there is always someone ready to support us if needed. You can tell there is pride in this company. It was started by the father and is now run by the son. He is so patient with our many questions and requests. He and his staff work hard to plan the trip you desire. I would do this whole trip again. It was so beautiful with many places to see and experience. I recommend this company with enthusiasm. This trip was a dream come true for us.

Fantastische ervaring: Zaan Schanse windmill museum was an excellent day out. We only stayed about 90 mins, but the vibe was positive, every one was having a good day, the location, is lovely, and the history palpable in every step. I highly recommend a visit if you get a chance.

Fantastische ervaring: I was interested in a custom two week tour and they did a great job putting together all the details. My luggage was transported every day (always very early), the accomodations were absolutely amazing, bike was top notch, and the provided gps did a great job keeping me going in the right direction all the time. The suggested restaurants and highlights along the daily route were great. Superb experience that I would gladly do again. (I'll add some photos when I'm next on wifi)

Fantastische ervaring: We were absolutely delighted with our tour from Haarlem to Bruges. Booking was a pleasure with quick responses, helpful information from beginning to the arrival and start of the trip. Several of the recommendations for hotels, planning and preparing for the trip were ultimately perfect suggestions for our needs. They were accommodating of our time schedule arranging for a 9 pm meeting on the day of our arrival to fit and prepare bikes. The bikes were newer models of typical touring cycles. Panniers were provided as were a GPS unit, and upon request .gpx files for my personal Garmin. Communication was good from beginning to end - we used Whatsapp while in Europe and responses came quickly. The route from Haarlem to Bruges was a beautiful mix of quiet country roads and cycle paths meaning there were very few places where we needed to negotiate traffic; our biggest issue was our own uncertainty about right of way - in some places the bikes have right of way, in others, the cars. We HIGHLY recommend this service. Hotels were lovely and everything went smoothly.

When we wanted to customize our trip, adding several days in the middle wind and at the end, it was easily done. The equipment that was provided was wonderful, especially the GPS for the self-guided tour. The personnel were quick and responsive to our needs. It was a grand adventure.

The routes were well-considered and stress-free, the accommodations were excellent, and all of the pointers on where to go and what to do in each place we visited were a cherry on top. Fantastische ervaring: Heerlijk genoten van onze 3-daagse tour in en rond Gouda. De fietsen en accessoires waren van eersteklas kwaliteit. Geweldige communicatie van Meike en Emiel gedurende mijn boeking en tijdens onze vakantie was van eersteklas niveau. Emiel ontmoette ons persoonlijk in het hotel om de fietsen over te dragen en alles door te nemen. De routes waren goed gepland en veilig, wat belangrijk voor mij was, aangezien ik een tijdlang niet had gefietst. Het Best Western Plus hotel was geweldig en ideaal gelegen. We hadden een geweldige avontuur waarbij we het prachtige platteland en de molens zagen en vriendelijk Nederland ervaarden. Ik zou dit bedrijf en de ervaring van fietsen in Nederland, vooral in het voorjaar, ten zeerste aanbevelen. We hebben zo'n heerlijke tijd gehad met het maken van herinneringen. Bedankt.

Fantastische ervaring: My wife and I loved the all seasons tour we went on that Holland Bike Tours organized. Mieke, Emiel, and the rest of the folks at HBT set up a lovely route, and did a great job planning the route and giving us all the gear we needed to get from point A to point B each day. Our only regret was not doing a longer tour. We loved our vacation with Holland Bike Tours and are already talking about taking another one!

Fantastische ervaring: A great company! We spent a week travelling South Holland with 2 very good, quality touring bikes. A lovely experience. Tipps and accommodations (standard level) were great. The bikes came with 2 paniers each. We were offered gel pads for the saddles, drinking bottles and helmets for free. The selected and personalised tour focused on small scenic roads and cycling paths. The GPS with the daily routs was easy to use. Emiel met us at the beginning and end of the trip personally. A very nice chap, like the rest of the team we were in contact with. Overall top service. We recommend and will book through Holland Bike Tours again!

Fantastische ervaring: I can't say enough great things about this company! I originally booked this tour in late 2019 for Spring 2020, but due to the pandemic, travel was restricted. They were kind and patient and we rolled the payment over from year to year. Well, in 2022 we were finally able to go! We have never done a multi-day bike tour before. We did a 5 day trip from Bruges to Haarlem. The routes were meticulously planned and the GPS provided by HBT guided us at every turn. We had one little hitch when the ferry wasn't running but Rian explained the Dutch "node" mapping system, so we were able to easily re-route and get back on track. We did run low on the battery on the first day but I had a small portable battery pack which gave us enough juice to make it to the hotel.) The hotels chosen for us (comfort level) were fabulous -- The breakfasts always delicious. Some were continental buffets and some were made-to-order. The Watertower in Gouda was the best! What a super unique experience! The bikes were great. No mechanical issues and very well maintained. Even though they were a bit heavier than what I'm used to, they handled the varied terrain well (we did have a few stretches of gravel and cobbles, of course). The seats were very comfortable -- although by Day 5 I was just done. Rian gave us a tool kit so we could make adjustments along the way should we have required it. The bikes also had a 4L water-resistant pannier that can hold the essentials (we chose to have our luggage transported for us). The Dutch and Belgian bike routes are fabulous. Very smooth and well-marked. Emil checked in with us by email periodically to make sure we were doing ok, which was a nice touch! I highly recommend this company! We may just have to return in a couple of years!

Specifically, we appreciated, among other things, the following -- Great location - right next to Haarlem train station Friendliness and professionalism of Emiel and Meike Excellent quality, correctly geared bikes Wonderfully "curated" routes that routed us, time and time again, through beautiful countryside, cities, and villages Turn by turn GPS - easy to follow Luggage transfers that were seamless Excellent accommodations and breakfasts - we elected to upgrade and were very happy We are so glad we went to the Netherlands and so glad we went with Holland Bike Tours. All things considered, this was not only excellent quality but excellent value as well. Don't hesitate to book one of their tours!!

Fantastische ervaring: I did the Around Gouda holiday with my husband and son. It was very well organised with a helpful briefing on the bikes and routes before we started. The satnav was easy to use and the bikeways were amazing so we always felt safe. The bikes were good quality and not too heavy, although the pedals needed more grip. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastische ervaring: We booked a six day trip to see the tulips in Holland in late April (I now know the difference between Holland and The Netherlands) and we saw tulips and so much more. Just so we wouldn't be rushed, and to allow for jet lag from the US, we added an extra day on the front end and to visit Keukenhof Gardens. We took a direct bus from Haarlem and had three hours to leisurely view (even though it was Kings Day) this amazing display of 7 million bulbs. Our tour guided us along 130 +/- of the 26,000 miles of bike paths that make The Netherlands the cycling Mecca of the world. We were a bit intimidated at the beginning since cycling is a way of life here, not just recreation, and the cyclists move with certainty and speed. But once we understood the basics, we felt comfortable and safe. Our trip led us to important cities, Liden, Delft, Gouda and The Hague, but what we enjoyed even more was the beautiful countryside & farms, seeing days old lambs, and riding through miles of spring green. Every day was different and full of surprises. Our accommodations were excellent, although at 77, I recommend hotels versus third floor B&Bs....mainly due to hauling our luggage up narrow stairs. The food was superb and we easily found some of the best dining we've ever had on similar trip. We chose ebikes since we expected some wind and rain and while not needed, they were appreciated and we arrived pleasantly tired at the end of each day, not exhausted. HBT and Emiel made everything easy for us and we knew that we were dealing with a friend, not a big company. We would easily take the same trip again, or look at other itineraries, because The Netherlands has so much to offer.

I liked the routes, it was a fantastic scenic tour of waterways, green pasturelands, Windmills, and Holland countryside. Hotel arrangements and luggage transfers were excellent. Hotels were well located within town centers. Good quality bikes and the pickup location was very convenient. It was a great way to see and experience different parts of Holland. Fantastische ervaring: Mijn vrienden en ik hebben deelgenomen aan de 5-daagse 'Dutch Lowland' tour aangeboden door Holland Bike Tours. We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad en waren vooral blij met de uitstekende service die we van Holland Bike Tours ontvingen. Deze reis was perfect gepland en uitgevoerd vanaf de eerste dag dat we onze fietsen kregen en ervoor zorgden dat alles goed paste tot de heerlijke dagelijkse ritten en routes, tot de geweldige accommodaties. We waren erg blij. De paden waren charmant en mooi, de dorpen waren leuk om te zien en een snack te krijgen, en de hotelverblijven waren uitstekend. Ik raad Holland Bike Tours ten zeerste aan. Ze waren beschikbaar voor alle etappes van de tour als we hulp of begeleiding nodig hadden! Uitstekend op elke manier. Grote dank voor zo'n prachtige tijd.

Fantastische ervaring: Wir haben eine 2-tägige Tour mit E-Bikes gemacht. Wir wollten eine auf unsere Reise zugeschnittene Tour und als einzigen Anbieter fanden wir Holland Bike Tours. Von der Buchung/Beratung, über die Qualität der Bikes bis zum Service vor Ort hat uns der Anbieter sehr überzeugt. Wir würden wieder dort Buchen, eindeutige Empfehlung!

Fantastische ervaring: If you are doing any kind of cycling in Holland - this is the company you should be using. We asked for a 3 day tour from Haarlem - Gouda - Edam - Haarlem. And Emiel gave us the most beautiful route. We traveled from the UK - so it took us a while to get used to the fact we weren't coming coming into contact with any cars. In fact to quote Emiel "If you are sharing with cars... you are probably in the wrong place..." Such a variety of landscapes... from busy towns to quiet villages. Cycling along the canals or on the cycle paths above the lakes north of Amsterdam. The quality of the accommodation was excellent, especially the lovely hotel in Edam. Thank you for everything Emiel.

Fantastische ervaring: We organised a 4 day self guided cycle trip around The Netherlands through Holland Bike Tours - it was a great experience from start to finish. They took the time upfront to find out what we wanted & then created a trip that was tailored perfectly to us.
